LocalCast Pro v28.1.2.8 – Cast to TV – Download Apk

Smartphones have become something of a catch-all for our digital media collections, and it’s not uncommon to have some hidden movies for those times when you have nothing better to do. If you have a Chromecast or TV with an internet connection, you’ll probably need an extra app to display these movies on the big screen. LocalCast Pro

As you probably know, you can use Google Photos to get photos and videos from your phone to your TV with the built-in casting option. On Android, you can also use this to stream movies stored locally from your phone to your TV by accessing the device’s Folders menu and locating the movie.

The problem is that this is far from the ideal application for this type of situation. Sure, it will work very well, but in my experience, the video was very unstable and Google Photos does not support many common codecs that you will see in copied and downloaded movies. Fortunately, there is a much better option available for iOS and Android: LocalCast Pro.

The application is available for free to iOS and Android , while offering in-app purchases to remove ads and unlock more features. The free app itself is quite powerful in itself.

So, if you want to stream more than just photos and videos stored locally, you can enhance your streaming game with LocalCast. This is a super useful application that lets you stream any media on your device, including photos, videos or music, as well as cloud content from Google Drive, Dropbox and even Instagram (iOS only). It also features network support for streaming network-attached storage and a built-in web browser for streaming web videos. This makes it a great choice for movies, because it doesn’t matter where you store them.

To make it even more versatile, it also supports streaming to multiple devices: Chromecast, Apple TV, Fire TV, Sony and Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox 360 / One or any other DLNA device.

It supports a variety of audio and video formats, but if you have problems, see the LocalCast FAQ – your video or audio format may not be supported by LocalCast or Chromecast.

How to Cast a Video to Your TV with LocalCast Pro

The interface is very straightforward on iOS and Android, staying true to the respective design guidelines for each platform. The functionality is basically the same between the two and is very intuitive to use – if you are familiar with the current operating system, you should have no problems using LocalCast Pro.

After starting the app, use the cast button in the bottom right corner and choose your casting device. From there, just browse the app normally and choose the movie you want to watch.

On iOS, all navigation options are at the bottom of the interface (see below on the left); on Android, everything is hidden in the menu on the left (see below, on the right). Just find the category that best suits what you’re looking for and broadcast quickly. When you’re done, just tap the cast icon again and disconnect from there.

In addition to offering options to stream virtually any type of media from a variety of sources, LocalCast Pro also has a very exclusive feature on Android that allows you to stream a video to your TV and play audio on your phone. With a pair of headphones, you can use it as a kind of private listening option. It is very cool.

To use this feature, touch the “Forward audio to device” option at the bottom. Once enabled, audio will be played on the device, although it can be noted that it may be slightly out of sync. To fix this, the app offers a fast audio sync of +/- 0.1 seconds. It’s pretty legit.

Regardless of which level you choose, it will remove ads, make the navigation bar translucent (on supported devices), add search on the device, allow you to view local videos, and more. It’s pretty solid.
